We were thrilled to welcome our first Composer in Residence to Portland in July 2021: Lauren McCall! Her work, A Spark and a Glimmer, came to life at Bodecker’s Halfling Studio in NW Portland. Photographer Christine Dong visited the Bodecker Foundation studio in August 2021 during the recording of Mélanie Hélène Bonis‘ piece, “Femmes de légende.” Pianist María Garcia was joined in the studio by producer Suzanne Nance, as she recorded the seven pieces composed for solo piano.
