About Recording Inclusivity Initiative

All Classical Portland in collaboration with N M Bodecker Foundation has just launched the “Recording Inclusivity Initiative: Changing America’s Playlist” Challenge. This initiative will produce five high-quality, broadcast-ready recordings of music by classical composers from underrepresented communities. Five challenge winners will have their music recorded at N M Bodecker Foundation studios in NW Portland, and broadcast worldwide via All Classical Portland’s FM signal and online stream in Fall 2021. Two of the Challenge winners will be selected for a week-long, Composer-in-Residency recording session and $2,500 award. All Classical Portland challenges listeners and arts partners to nominate composers.
